What Cancer cannot do is take away the will to live.
It cannot send its evil to the soul of a heart
And it can’t stop the drive to survive.
Love brings hope, bonds grow strong
and in it’s wake,
Cancer,
that uninvited terrorist
Dies in place of you.
You survive,
with the will of your spirit,
with the sympathy and caring of friends
and of family.
Cancer kills,
that is very true,
but in my case,
giving up is not the solution.
I’ve decided to live.
To saunter on.
Cancer will not succeed.
I will.

Today was a very good day for me. I didn't do much, but that just meant that I was well enough to be able to lay still for so long.
