I think the most compelling source of inspiration is the history of humanity, and indeed of the universe itself. You won't find a tale more dramatic, more complex, more tragic and glorious, than the collective yarn of mankind. The mythology of our ancestors reflects this, peppering the foggy years of distant prehistory with creatures both heavenly and nightmarish in nature, heroes and villains that stick in mind even millennia after their deaths, and places, wars and voyages lost to time's own memory.
...However, ancient things do not always die. They lie, forgotten and sealed away from the sunlight, dreaming of their former glory and of a time when they might return to once again shake the world's foundations...
I'm here to wake them up.

On My Works:
I write primarily horror/weird fiction, influenced by a myriad of artists and sources from all different mediums; everything from the modern to the mythical. I aim for originality and new quirks in a realm not noted for it.
I think the best stories I have completed thus far are Creaking, The Window, and The Lemurian Hourglass. I am suddenly devoting a lot of my time to The Pale Girl again, as it is rapidly reaching novella length.
I've discovered a distinct pleasure in writing humor, and I have a couple of works in that genre: "Appurtenance" and "Down with the Clown." Check them out for a laugh (I hope).

Mr. Faunus on December 27, 2007Okay, I'm glad I went to your profile. I'm going to try to send something to Black Ink Horror myself, although I've never really practiced the genre. But it's always worth a try.
