I was born in Northern Ireland in 1990. It was in Belfast hospital on the 25th of January. I was a small baby, but average birth weight. Weighing 7 pounds 2 ounces I was a normal baby. My home was in Ballymean however, about 50 miles away from Belfast.
It was only when I was a couple of months old my parents realised I had a visual impairement. My mum used to cry as he believed I couldn't see at all, as I didn't look at her when she spoke to me. Up to age four I was still getting tests to see what my visual disability was. In the end I was diagnosed with Optic Nerve Hypoplasia, which is the under developed optic nerve. I was also discovered to have Nystagmus, which is the wobbling of the eye. Since I was born with it however, I can not see the wobbling.
My childhood was cosy, most of the time. We moved over to England when I was two. My sister Charlene had borderline Schitzophrenia and up til age nine I lived in a lot of fear and anger. My parents would argue over matters relating to her and she enjoyed it. Eventually she left when she tried to strangle my mum (she isn't my mothers daughter she's dads and my other sister Claire is mums. They were married previously. They got married when I was 3). My other sister Claire however, was really sweet... We got on really well.
A lot of things have happened to me since then and I wish to not explain on my public profile. If you would like to know please IM me and i'll tell you.
I have had sexually bad experiences and disturbing experiences, this is what I mean. But I try and stay strong. Although I find it hard to trust people I try not to take it out on people who have done nothing to me.
I am now 16 and in a visually impaired school. I'm taking my GCSE's and am best at English (B+/A) material.
If you'd like to know anything else about me don't hesitate to ask!!!
