I'm a hypocrite,
a liar,
a good girl.
Some people think I'm a gypsy,
a witch, a flower, a child, or both,
sometimes a miracle, sometimes a curse.
I reincarnate-
you can tell me which I am.
Inside me there is not blood,
but a river.
Water is old, it
never goes away.
I don't know where it's going.
I don't know where it came from.
I don't know what pollutes it.
But I follow. I flow.
It hurts so deeply it transcends anger, sorrow, joy.
It is the kind of thing that will swallow me whole, and then
will turn on the world.
