Hi, you can call me Nate, Nathan, Nathaniel, Mirror or really anything that begins with an N or an M and I'll respond to it. I first became interested in writing when I was very bored in 7th grade and commenced the projection of my own psychotic mind (influenced, of course, by the psychotic minds of my beloved favorite authors) into a novel called Element: The Timekeeper's Tree. Fate finds me a calculable amount of time later, hopefully a more talented artistic, as an avid novel and/or short story writer. My true passion is, of course, apple pie, but sadly that is not excessively constructive to my being.
Along with writing, I love editing other people's works (I have been called Death Critic). Namely that of the sci-fi/fantasy genre, but I'll give most stuff a shot. I like to leave somewhat snarky comments, but I swear that I mean well. I'm a tragically lonely individual (my two primary friends being the spider in the corner of the shower and the rock I live under) and will most likely happily read anything you send me should you ever be in the mood for a random stranger commenting on your work.
On your down you can find the stories I am working on, and a little below that the records of everything I've ever posted. On your left is the pleasantly green background of the default Storywrite profile page (I'm far too lazy to deck it out like the other peeps on this site do) and on your right is probably a list of links that you will eventually be clicking on.
If you're interested in reading some somethings to read, I adore comments. If you're here for the editing send me a message. If you're here for the conversation, I would ask you to define for me the social contract, develop some opinions, and then email me and/or contact me on the AIM screen name shade0130 during my office hours of around 8-11 PM.
Au revoir, and remember:

- Column: I'm Yours: Romance In Writing at storywrite
We've all felt affection at some point. Be it platonic or romantic, bonding is a part of human nature. And when the later makes it into our characters? - Column: The Pitfall of Perfect: Mary Sues and Gary Stus at storywrite
We've all seen them: the perfect, the high, the wondrous...the annoying. So what happens when these deities of flawlessness take on textual form? - Column: Dangerous Games: Young Adult and the Taboo Triad at storywrite
Recently I've noticed a distinct shift in the young adult genre in terms of the content. Drugs, innuendo, violence - talk about walking the dark side. So where's the line to be drawn?

You would ask me what I live for? I live for the sake of living; I live to conquer the annulled, to watch the empty, to put meaning in the meaningless. I live to form new friendships, to see old ones crumble and, from the ashes, be reborn. I live to see to us, the human race, crawl upon the planet’s face, buildingMay 27, 600 words. → Make first comment?

How long have I been standing here, in this beautiful world without realizing, truly, what it stands to offer? I find myself at the edge of a cliff, the slate-gray sky spanning above me and the dark ocean crashing against the precipice face. My feet bleed, my face drips. It is hardly a common thing for humans to feel lost and confused every once and awhile. Inevitably, we end up wondering why we’ve done what we’ve done and how it’ll all work out. The wandering within the Byzantine labyrinths of the mind is often somewhat depressing, particularly when you can’t help but wonder if youApril 11, 800 words. → 3 comments, Add one?

Vampjaz on August 12Is it odd that I find it rather hilarious that Laikasonfire didn't catch that he had written "or" instead of "of"? LOL, I adore people who tell you to edit, or applaud your intelligence for editing, but don't feel the need to proof read their own comments.
Interesting read, by the way. I finded it too be verry god.

Lachrymose. on August 6I think it's rather remarkable that your page retains intelligence and proper grammar, unlike so many of the 'aspiring novelists' on this site who think it is a good idea to put such ambitions amongst a jumble or misspelled, grammatically incorrect text. It's refreshing.

NarniaKid on July 24Hey! Cool profile! I like the way your name is typed backward!

Play Pretend. on July 20Your page makes me think that, quite possibly,
you're someone I'd want to talk to if I saw
you doing a crossword in a coffee shop.
I'm assuming that you do crosswords, of course.
But either way, I find you interesting. Or, in the very least, intelligent.
Hi, I'm a creep.
