I've been a member for a while now, so I guess I should change this. I've been writing stories since . . . well, I don't exactly know. It's been a long time. At some point, somewhere, I'm sure. As far as I'm concerned, I'm still not good at it, but playing pretend never hurt anyone. I think.
Anyway . . . any personal information about me, I guess you'll just have to figure out personally. Sorry.
I don't want anyone to worry about how they comment on my stories. Any and all opinions are welcome.
"My pen kills more dragons than your gun." - Dylan Mott
"You're born with just a spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." - Robin Williams
"What is genuine needs no explanation." - A fortune cookie
"Even if you are on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there." - Will Rogers
"My life has been filled with terrible misfortune; most of which never happened." - Montainge
"We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing." - George Bernard Shaw
"Never look down on anyone unless you're helping him up." - Jesse Jackson (not a great man but said great things nonetheless)
"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
"A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song." - Maya Angelou
"I am like a snowball - the further I am rolled the more I gain." - Susan B. Anthony
"The truth may work for some people but I’ve always found it’s best to be flexible." - Richard Nixon (I only appreciate that b/c I'm a liar at heart - sry)
"My reality check bounced." - I dunno
"The zoo is the best place to study human behavior." - M. Perkins
"Instead of being concerned that you are not known, see to being worthy of being known." Confucius (whose teachings I completely disagree with because he based most of them on his belief that society will work best when women are kept on the bottom rung)
"Each has his past shut in him like the leaves of a book known to him by his heart, and his friends can only read the title. " - Virginia Woolf
"Every performance is different. That's the beauty of it." - Van Morrison
"No matter what they tell you, thoughts and ideas can change the world." - Robin Williams
"Why walk alone?" - Cat Stevens (I only like that quote because it's so simple but pointed. You can answer 'to not be hurt,' but does it not hurt to be alone?)
"No one can drive us crazy unless you give them the keys." - Doug Horton
"The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four Americans is suffering from some form of mental illness. Think of your three best friends. If they're ok, then it's you." - Rita Mae Brown
"Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers." - I dunno
"Lottery: a tax on people who are bad at math." - Anonymous
"Anyone can do any amount of work provided if it isn't the work he is supposed to be doing at the moment." - Robert Benchley
"There are no rules here - we're trying to accomplish something." - Thomas Alva Edison (Laws are made to be broken, rules are made to be shattered into tiny peices)
"Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway." - many people, I'm sure
"We have only two things ro worry about - either things that will never get back to normal, or those that already have." - Once again, I know not
"I function as a channel from which music emerges from the chaos of noise." - Vangelis (IS THAT COOL OR WHAT?!)
"Sometimes you gotta create what you wanna be part of." - Geri Weitzman
"Everywhere is walking distance if you have the time." - Stephen Wright (I like this one because I'm a traveler)
"The only normal people are the ones you don't know very well." - Joe Ancis (I think this is true because normal people are boring, and no one worth knowing is normal because normal takes time to acheive)
"Love is a fire. But whether it is going to warm your heart or burn down your house, you can never tell." - Joan Crawford
I'll add more as time goes on.
