We live in a world full of questions: What is the meaning of life? Why are we here? Where is God when crap happens? What is faith?

Life is hard. It can be one disappointment after another. Quite often bad stuff happens that we have absolutely no control over and all we can do is sort through it and try to make sense out of heartaches.

Sometimes life knocks us down and while we are writhing around on the ground it stomps all over us. In the vernacular of Battlestar Gallactica one could say that life on planet earth is all fraked up.

I have been digging out from under setbacks and discouragements by writing about them in one way or another since I was a child. My first book, An Ordinary Story of Extraordinary Hope is available at Amazon. I'm currently working on Days of Purgatory, a novel that explores redemption and hope in those thorny places where faith meets reality.

The Jodat Chronicles is an almost accidental project that perhaps one day will be gathered into a book. Jedediah Jodat is a mysterious character who gets entangled in trials and troubles. He is a time traveler and soldier of fortune who often comes to the aid of those in distress of one kind or another. His roots, story and ongoing adventures are always fascinating and often cryptic, and routinely end in cliff hanging situations.

For now installments will be posted here on storywrite as they are written. Each story is a stand-alone piece, but there are common threads and themes woven throughout the narrative.
