This is where I'm supposed to say something very profound, say something impressive, say something meaningful. But sometimes you just have to let go. I said something the other day that WAS profound, and if I ever remember what it was, its going right here. All I ask is that you don't characterize me in terms of werewolves and vampires, because quite frankly, those things are about as real as the fake emotions emo kids put on. I am what you would call a person, a name that would appear on the great and long list of humanity. I ask you only this: to look at me through my words, see the person behind them, and then tell me how you feel about it, how it touches you, how it makes your mind work, how it shows that language is the most transcending art form of all. That's what writing should be all about.
I write because I love it, not because I want to get laid or something--and that's the truth of it. I find inspiration mainly from myself, because really, what else can a person truly know besides themselves?
I'm still trying to find my voice. Its not that I'm not emotionally insensitive, no. Its the complete opposite. Its just that I'm very detached from my emotions. (if that makes any sense) I like graveyards, hard-asses helping their three-year-old daughter pick daisies, Paris in the rain, being alone while I'm surrounded by people, friends that carry watermelon rinds in their pockets, sushi, watching Rocky Horror Picture Show late at night with friends, old Ben Kenobi, Phoebe's broken record, West Egg, Atticus Finch, the Admiral Benbow Inn, and the fact that even though you're reading this, someday you and I will both be gone like the white feather inside the Curious George book by the school bus stop in alaBAma.

In the beginning, there was the wind. And in the black depths, in which jade shadows, faded golden remembrances and crystalline stillness gave nothing but color and sight, the wind gave life. It soothed and pulverized, a st1500 words, 2 comments, November 9, 2008. In Fiction

tallblondie : Welcome! on May 11, 2008Hi Jaimes Blackwelle,
Welcome to the StoryWrite website!
My username is tallblondie but most people just call me Blondie. Our site is a community of people who all share a common desire to write and hopefully become a published author sometime in the future. It is also a place to sharpen your writing skills and display your creativity while being in a fun environment!
You will notice a gold medal by your name. This is a free trial membership. This shows you what options you have if you were a paid member of Storywrite.com. After approximately three days the gold membership expires, so take the opportunity to see all that our site offers to you.
We have a new members group on the site. This group was set-up to show you how to post your work onto the site and to give you an understanding of how the reading/reviewing of your work actually happens. If you have not already done so, I would suggest you take a peek into this group and see how this process works. http://storywrite.com/group/info/New+members+group
Along with a new members group, we have a New Members Contest that is held every month. Come and check it out. The contest is open to any new member.

It is recommended that all new members to the site give serious consideration to joining a writing group as a method of assisting them in becoming an active member of the site. It is a great place to make new friends and get helpful critiques.
I have included below a few quick tips that have proven to be very helpful to new members in doing some of the basic functions necessary to get yourself set-up and running on the site. One in particular is fun things to do around Storywrite:

To find all the emoticons

Chatterbox conduct: http://storywrite.com/column/show/57
Trolls or Cyberbullies: http://storywrite.com/column/show/151
Don’t forget to read the Storywrite Rules: http://storywrite.com/home/guide/rules
On the right hand side of the page is where you’ll find all you need to edit your stories, change your user info, change your picture, etc.
Thank you for joining the StoryWrite web community. If you have any questions feel free to ask! Have fun and keep writing!
