I guess I should say a little about myself. I read and write strange, weird and twisted tales. My favorite authors are Rod Serling, Ray Bradbury, Dean Koontz, Stephen King and a host of others too many to list here. Also read a lot of non-fiction by Carl Sagan and Robert Heinlein. I am into sci-fi also. To be able to put words together to evoke thoughts, emotions or curiosity has got to be the most satisfying thing to do.
My English teacher in twelth grade tried to encourage me to continue writing, but being 17 years old, you think there are higher priorities in life. Then, when I got those priorities out of my system, life jumped in and got in the way. Now I am writing quite often and hope to get published. And if I don't then I will still write for the pure joy of it.

My Username is -CactusJack- and everyone on the site simply calls me Jack. I would like to welcome you to the StoryWrite web site. Our site is a community of people who all share a common desire to write, in some form or another, and to hopefully become a published author sometime in the future.
You may notice a gold medal by your name. This is a free trial membership. This shows you what options you have if you were a paid member of Storywrite.com. After three days the membership expires and you become a regular member.

This group was set-up to show you how to post your work onto the site and to give you an understanding of how the reading/reviewing of your work actually happens on the site. If you have not already done so, I would suggest you take a peek into this group and see how this process works. 1. http://storywrite.com/group/info/New+members+group
