Hiya! This is H.P. (That's me!) But if you must know my name, it's Lo...

Anywho! Gah...I hate doing these things cause I don't know what to talk about...But I'll give it a shot!

So...I've been into writing since the fifth grade when we had to write stories for english. Yeah, they were really shitty (I still have them somewhere) and I laugh at my horrible 'talent' lets call it, everytime I read them...

After 5th grade though, I was more into reading books than writing them, too much work to plot out all the stuff that makes a great book. In 7th grade, my best friend started to write a story- The Keeper of the Book of Lost Thoughts- It wasn't that bad, despite what she says to this very day. (I still have both copies of that one...) Yet, even with another person writing in my group of friends, it wasn't until I became best friends with Ari in 8th grade, that I got back to writing.

She and I started a story together, you know, the ones where you each have a set of characters and write a story together? Yeah, we did that. Holy crap that was so much fun! It is still the longest thing I think I've ever written, and it's sooo bad, it's not even funny! Though, I am proud to announce that Rask came out of that story- my brain child! He's made everyone laugh that has read what he has to say...I love my Rask!

So that started me back on this wonderful hobby...along with Jaque, who I wrote stories with too at the time, (though ours never seemed to get very far)...hmm...

The beginning of my freshman year (2006)...I think...my lovely cousin, Lisa showed me this site. I instantly fell in love with it and put most of my writing on here, good and bad (not the best idea I'm thinking). And to top it all off... I took a Creative Writing class second semester of my sophomore year that forced me to write. Yay for school pressure (Sometimes... -.-)I also took a Creative Writing 2 class 1st semester of my junior year and am actually retaking it again my senior year. Not because I failed it, but because I loved it just that much. I got a published book because of it...

So yeah...that's me basically in the whole writing thing... Leave a comment please! Even if it says "This sucks!" I'd still like to have it...haha.

------------------- Current News!-----------------------

1. School's almost out! Yay! I seem to write better in the summer anyway so I'm kinda lookin forward to it.

2. I have some people on my friends list who are posting new things...Yay!They are also amazing, so go read them!
Some of these stories would be:

Seth's Mess by Tutie7
The Vampire Dream by Etheral Nuisance (Jaque!)
The Katie and Mike Stories by Coffee Cat (Cousin!)
Connor by SnowRose-Wolf (Gah! It's not on there anymore!)
Darkest Hour by TuesdaysChild (it's the entire thing! Woot!)
Wishful Procrastination by Artisticmeam (Cara!)
Love is Blind by Lady Belladona (Ari!) (Though she stopped writing it!)
The novel by Crimson12100
The Pied Piper by Villavanmorta (Lanna!)

Yeah, there's probably more...actually...there's AT LEAST three things I recommend reading from each of these authors...but you probably won't want me to list all of them...haha.

3. If anyone posts anything that isn't really getting commented on, message me and I'll do it! I love to read and give feedback, I have a tendency to not look long enough to find a story I like so if you show one to me, that would be loverly!

Here are some Celtic quotes I found and liked:

Is maith an scéalaí an aimsir. (Time is a good storyteller)

An rud a ghoilleas ar an gcroí caithfidh an t-súil é a shileas. (What pains the heart must be washed away with tears.)

Na trí cairde is fearr agus na trí naimhde is measa: tine, gaoth, is uisce. (The three best friends and the three worst enemies: fire, wind, and water.)

And here are some quotes in English I liked:

"The creative person is both; more primitive and more cultivated, more destructive, a lot madder and a lot saner, than the average person." - Frank Barron

"A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything" - Friedrich Nietzsche

"If God wanted us to bend over he'd put diamonds on the floor." - Joan Rivers

"Catch a man a fish and you can sell it to him. Teach a man to fish, and you ruin a wonderful business opportunity." - Karl Marx

"Few things are harder to put up with than the annoyance of a good example." - Mark Twain

My journal entries

  • So, I'm actually thinking of doing it this year... mostly to force myself to stick with a single story for once and get past the 5th chapter. 1 So if anyone else is doing it, let me know? I know my friend at school is, but it'd be cool to have other people on my butt about doing this!
