For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
~John 3:16

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
~Isaiah 41:10

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
~Philippians 4:13

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up on wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
~Isaiah 40:31

Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
~Matthew 6:34

Enter by the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
~Matthew 7:13-14

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and not that of yourselves: it is the gift of God.
~Ephesians 2:8

For as you have done unto the least of my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
~Matthew 25:45

For our present troubles are small and won't last very long.
~2 Corinthians 4:17

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.
~1 Corinthians 2:9

So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"
~Hebrews 13:6

Hello!!!! My name is Kristen. I have an off-beat sense of humor (that is if you think I'm funny at all, but that's what I've been told). I'm friendly and a social butterfly. I love to laugh and have fun. So whoever you are reading this, say 'Hi'!!

I love to write (obviously, or I wouldn't be here ) I write things about anything. I write stories, I write about myself (although the things I write about myself I don't usually post on here because, well, those writings tend to be rather personal), and anything else that crosses my mind. My friends tell me I'm good at writing. I've come here to find out what other people have to say. I want to hear what you all have to say. So please comment!! I want your feedback!!

I like people who aren't afraid to be themselves. It's okay if you're a little weird. I like weird, because I am. I'm different than everybody else, and I'm not afraid to be myself and admit my individuality. Either you like me for who I am or you don't. I'd rather have people dislike me for who I am than like me for who I only pretend to be. I like people who have that sort of outlook, too.

What do I want in a guy? Well, this list could go on and on, but I'll try to keep it relatively short just because I'm never going to find the "perfect" person b/c no one is perfect. I want my guy:

1. TO BE A CHRISTIAN
2. To be so sweet he makes me cry
3. To know me better than I know myself
4. To be able to make me laugh
5. To be able to cheer me up with only a smile or hug
6. To be able to know whether it's better to ask me 'what's wrong' or just give me my space when I'm having a bad day
7. To be able to deal with me when I'm having a bad day
8. To make the most simple moments, such as running in the rain or sitting in a grassy meadow holding hands and just talking, or saying nothing at all, the best moments in my life
9. To stand up for and defend me whether I'm there or not

I'm one of those people who if you don't know them really well you think they are always happy. It's only a few, specially chosen people who I ever tell anything to. I've also found that my way of dealing with problems is most defintely not a good way of doing it. I hate facing my problems, so I just pretend I'm happy and don't tell anyone, most times I don't even tell myself. But it always gets worse if you cover it all up. And sometimes you can even convice yourself that you are happy, but it always eventually comes to the surface. And even then I always try to deal with it myself, and it never works. Honestly, if God and my two best friends wouldn't let me cry on their shoulders... I don't know what I would've done. And my advise for others (and myself) is don't bottle things up. You think you're strong, but it's really a sign of fear and weakness because you're afraid to face your problems. Reach out to someone. No matter how bad things are someone is always there and someone always cares. And I've found that sometimes the only one who really understands and can help me is God.

This is my favorite song:

History

It's been a bad day
You've been looking back
And all you can see is everything you wish you could take back
All your mistakes
A world of regrets
All of those moments you would rather forget
I know it's hard to believe Let me refresh your memory

CHORUS
Yesterday is history And history is miles away
So, leave it all behind you
But let it always remind you of the day
The day that love made history

You know you can't stay right where you fell
The hardest part is forgiving yourself
But let's take a walk into today
And don't let your past get in the way

Would you believe that you are history in the making, in the making?
Every choice that you are making
Every step that you are taking
Every chain that you are breaking
History is in the making
Every word that you are saying
Every prayer that you are praying
Every chain that you are breaking
History is in the making

Philippians 3:13-14, 1 Timothy 1:12-17
'Everyone's past is filled with imperfections. The scriptures say, "...All have sinned..." But the second we recognize how much we need forgiveness and ask God for His grace to save us, it's done. Now if you're anything like me, that seems to be only half the battle. For me, the hardest part is forgiving myself. The mistakes I've made try to haunt me, follow me, and remind me that I'm no good. The failures of yesterday become the regrets of today; the regrets of today become the discouragement of tomorrow, and before you know it, the future starts looking more and more like the past. The Bible speaks clearly to all of us sinners, "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners-and I was the worst of them all (1 Timothy 1:15)." It's that simple, we're saved. All that stuff that we used to wear around our hearts like a two-ton weight, that's all history now. But the story doesn't end there. God's love can make history of your past. He forgives and forgets. Now it's time to move forward into a life of grace. Because, the truth is, God isn't done with you yet. Your life from here on out, starting with the next breath you breathe, is history in the making! What if we lived every single second ready and willing for God to do something great with our lives? This entire project is for anyone who has ever made a mistake. God's grace can forgive you. It's up to you to forgive yourself. The crazy thing is, even as I write this, and even as you read this, history is in the making!' - Matthew West

Sorry for all the unfinished stories I post on here. I do plan to finish all of them at some time or other. I find it hard to concentrate on ONE story for a long period of time. So I start writing one, then I think of another, and abandon the first one until some other time. Just bear with me.

I like Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean if any of you are interested. Jack Sparrow is funny. And I love Frodo and Aragorn!! Haha, LorR are my favorite movies, especially the third one. The old Dukes of Hazzard are great, too. They are the absolute greatest TV show ever. Well, at least in my opinion.

Amazing Lord of the Rings quotes (I might add some more later):

[to Pippin] "Fool of a Took. Throw yourself in next time, and rid us of your stupidity."
~Gandalf

Aragorn: "Are you frightened?"
Frodo: "Yes."
Aragorn: "Not nearly frightened enough. I know what hunts you."

"I made a promise, Mr Frodo. A promise. "Don't you leave him Samwise Gamgee." And I don't mean to. I don't mean to."
~Sam

Elrond: "Nine companions. So be it. You shall be the fellowship of the ring."
Pippin: "Great! Where are we going?"

"Even the smallest person can change the course of the future."
~Galadriel

"Nobody tosses a dwarf."
~Gimli

Frodo: "Go back, Sam. I'm going to Mordor alone."
Sam: "Of course you are. And I'm coming with you!"

Frodo: "It's a pity Bilbo didn't kill him when he had the chance."
Gandalf: "Pity? It was pity that stayed Bilbo's hand. Many that live deserve death. Some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo? Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgment. Even the very wise cannot see all ends. My heart tells me that Gollum has some part to play yet, for good or ill before this is over. The pity of Bilbo may rule the fate of many."

Pippin: "What's that?"
Merry: "This, my friend, is a pint."
Pippin: "It comes in pints?"
[In low voice]
Pippin: "I'm getting one."

"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."
~Bilbo

Pippin: "Anyways, you need people of intelligence on this sort of... mission... quest... thing."
Merry: "Well, that rules you out, Pip."

"Not the beard!"
~Gimli

Aragorn: "Frodo's fate is no longer in our hands."
Gimli: "Then it has all been in vain. The fellowship has failed."
Aragorn: "Not if we hold true to each other."
[pause]
Aragorn: "We will not abandon Merry and Pippin to torment and death. Not while we have strength left. Leave all that can be spared behind. We travel light. Let's hunt some Orc."
Gimli: "YES!"

Sam: "Trust a Brandybuck and a Took."
Merry: "What? That was just a detour, a shortcut."
Sam: "Shortcut to what?"
Pippin: "Mushrooms!"

[Merry and Pippin are leading the orcs away from Frodo]Pippin: "It's working!"
Merry: "I know it's working! Run!"

"It came to me, my own, my love... my... preciousssss."
~Gollum

"If anyone was to ask for my opinion, which I note they're not, I'd say we were taking the long way around."
~Gimli

"Fly, you fools."
~Gandalf

"Certainty of death, *small* chance of success... What are we waiting for?"
~Gimli

"Hold your ground, hold your ground! Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you *stand, Men of the West!*"
~Aragorn

Denethor: "My sons are spent. My line has ended. Rohan has deserted us. Theoden's betrayed me. Abandon your posts! Flee, flee for your lives!"
[He turns around, and Gandalf knocks him out with his staff]
Gandalf: "Prepare for battle!"

[Gorbag advances towards Frodo with a knife]
Gorbag: I'm gonna bleed you like a stuck pig.
[Gorbag is stabbed from behind by Sam]
Sam: Not if I stick you first.

Some favorite quotes from POTC (mostly from 'Captain' Jack Sparrow ):

"Gentlemen, I wash my hands of this weirdness."
~Jack Sparrow

(Mullroy) "What's your purpose in Port Royal Mr. Smith?"
(Murtogg) "Yeah, and no lies."
(Jack) "Well, then, I confess. It is my intention to commandeer one of these ships, pick up a crew in Tortuga, raid, pillage, plunder, and otherwise pilfer my weasley black guts out."
(Murtogg) "I said no lies!"
(Mullroy) "I think he's telling the truth."
(Murtogg)"If he was telling the truth, he wouldn't have told us."
(Jack) "Unless, of course, he knew you wouldn't believe the truth even if he told it to you."

(Will Turner) "This is either madness... or brilliance."
(Jack Sparrow) "It's remarkable how often those two traits coincide."

"A right decision if made for the wrong reasons can be a wrong decision."
~Governer Swann

(Will) "That's not true. I'm not obsessed with treasure."
(Jack) "Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate."

(Norrington) "You are without doubt the worst pirate I've ever heard of."
(Jack) "But you have heard of me."

(Will) "We're going to steal a ship? That ship?"
(Jack) "Commandeer. We're going to commandeer that ship. Nautical term."

"Belay that belay that!"
~Jack Sparrow

(Elizabeth Swann) "There will come a time when you have a chance to do the right thing."
(Jack) "Oh I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by."

"We must fight, to run away!"
~Jack

(Elizabeth) "This is madness."
(Jack Sparrow) "This is politics."

(Lord Cutler Beckett) "You're mad."
(Jack Sparrow) "Thank goodness for that, 'cause if I wasn't this would probably never work."
*catapults himself onto his ship landing safely on his feet behind his crew*
(Jack Sparrow) "And that was without even a single drop of rum."

(Barbossa) "There's not been a gatherin' like this in our lifetime."
(Jack Sparrow) "And I owe them all money."

"Cruel is a matter of perspective."
~Jack Sparrow

"'ello, beastie."
~Jack

*to Elizabeth about Will who's knocked out* "Leave 'im lie... unless you're planning to use him to hit somethin' with."
~Jack Sparrow

"No cause is lost, if there is but one fool left to fight for it."
~Will Turner

(This is from "Night at the Museum")
"...But our hearts are large...metaphorically speaking."
~Octavious

A girl and guy were speeding, on a motorcycle, over 90 mph on the road..

Girl: Slow down. I’m scared.

Guy: No, this is fun.

Girl: No, it’s not. Please, it’s too scary!

Guy: Then tell me you love me.

Girl: Fine, I love you. Slow down!

Guy: Now give me a BIG hug.

*Girl hugs him*

Guy: Can you take my helmet off & put it on yourself? It’s bugging me.

(In the paper the next day)

A motorcycle crashed into a building because of break failure. Two people were on it, but only one survived. The truth was, that halfway down the road, the guy realized that his breaks broke, but he didn’t want to let the girl know. Instead, he had her say she loved him & felt her hug one last time, then had her wear his helmet so that she would live even though it meant that he would die.

If you would ever do this for someone....then post this on your page asap!!
