So, as some of you may have known, I've been going through some changes lately. They're subtle on the outside, but to me, they're a bit bigger than that.
I've come to terms with the fact that I'll probably be at least thirty before I'm officially published. But I'm fine with that, because I've already spent six years learning the "tricks of the trade" (as much as you can apply that term to writing) so ten more should teach me at least twice as much, right?
Other than that, since I now have a plan much more solid than ever before, it makes sense for me to pursue the more professional part of my writing aspirations once my life has been put into more orderly terms.
Speaking of which, to those of you who know I'm trying to go into the paramedic field, after talking with numerous people of all sorts of opinions, I may pursue a nursing degree after making it to paramedic and seeing how I like it. This will also give me more time to write, so it's win-win.
For now, I will continue writing the way I always have. I'm trying to get serious about the newest novel I've started, Not Worth Dying For, which is totally different from anything I've ever done before. You might enjoy it yourself, so check it out please

And that's it for the shameless plug. What? It's my page. I do what I want with it. So nyeh.

Lately I've been thinking about roses--or just flowers in general, but roses had the advantage of a nice rhyme to go with it. It all started around Valentine's Day when my roommate bought a dozen carnations for his new (within two months) girlfriend.
I asked my girlfriend what the big deal was with flowers beca

Want to know a secret? I don't have many friends. Yes, I can count them on one hand. In fact, if I lost three of my fingers on one hand, I would still be able to count them on that same hand. That's right, I have two friends. Do I care? Yeah, I cry myself to sleep every night, thinking about how life would be so muchJanuary 26, In A moment, Friends, Nonfiction, Personal, Real time.. 500 words. → 2 comments, Add one?

I have too many obligations. Not only do I have too many obligations, I have too many hobbies. I recently read a quote that said something along the lines of "The good thing about procrastinating is that you're never bored, because you've always got something to do." While that may be a somewhat ironically true state

CactusJack on September 11Pretty funny...and ironic. I realized a while back, that I was Housing (pun intended) House and Wilson sans the medical backgrounds. Some days I'm House, some I'm Wilson.

Glad to see you've realized something about yourself. Just don't go trading in the guitar for a cane anytime soon. -
