RESPECT YO' GRANNY
GRAMMAR GURU
PIRATE OF PUNCTUATION
QUEEN OF QUOTATIONS
ELDER OF ELLIPSES
NOUN NINJA
VIXEN OF VOCABULARY (well, so what if I'm going on 90?)
I'm here on Storywrite to set things straight- grammatically, language wise and even to tell you when your little bit of writing is -as the young people say today- a "straight up suck fest."
You can call me Granny Smith or just Granny, but if you decide that you really can't abide by my comments and advice, you can add in the frikkin' part; it amuses me.
More about me later! For now, it's reading time, and my next door neighbor kid is tired of showing little old me how to operate this machine.
FAVORITE BOOKS
War and Peace (The ultimate in reader sophistication)
Wuthering Heights
The Scarlet Letter
The Screwtape Letters
The Prince (not formerly known as)
Pride and Prejudice (I almost married a Mr. Darcy once)
Beowulf
Epic of Gilgamesh
The Illiad (but not the Oddessy)
Martin Luther's 95 Theses (not a book, I know)
Dr. Spock's childcare books (Timeless! All children should be raised according to Spock's theories!)
Candide
Les Miserables (in the original French, it's no good en Anglais.)
Taming of the Shrew (my second husband said I was the living personification of this play. I never did like him much.)
The Bible
The Upanishads
Code of Hammurabi (you think AIRPORT security is strict?)
Mere Christianity
Gone with the Wind
Always remember- if you get joy out of your writing, it really doesn't matter what an old crone like me tells you.
But you sure can't sell it.

I have no idea what your show is about, but as an aging woman who has gone through many phases of life (and places along the way), I have an extensive background in varied and sundry topics and a plethora of anecdotal stories100 words, 3 comments, June 15

DoozerDan on June 16"I am a 17 year old woman..." That's one severe case of Denial you got there, Ma'am.
I like your reading list, particularly the Bible, a great book that.
Anyway, just droppin' by and sayin' hi. -
daftweejimmy : Book choice on June 13I can see how you came to choose the "Arrangement in grey and black" as your backdrop; with the impressive reading list in your favourites, there's a very obvious sign of culture there, but why is George Bernard Shaw not there, or for that matter, Oscar Wilde? Sheringham? I can perhaps, excuse the exclusion of Robert Burns, But whither T.S.Eliot, Wilfrid Owen et al?
Now, I can't hope to compete with any of your illustrious choice (I particularly enjoy Jane Austen, and actually prefer Northanger Abbey to Pride and Prejudice) but I did wonder if you would care to look over some of my scrivening and give me the benefit of your advice. I don't care how harsh it is, so long as it is justified and (where possible) constructive. -
SeleneStone : Hi! on February 13Saw your name and had to come see your profile
