Girl AnachronismShow stories

I've been on this site for over a year and yet, I still have managed to change this thing only a few times. Well, I think it's time once more. And I will try and keep it on the topic of my writing and not me.

So...obviously I like to write. I haven't been doing much recently because I've been trying to focus on school but occasionaly you might get a new story or poem from me.

I write mostly poetry and short (and I mean very short) stories. I have started a few novels but none of them have gotten past the first five chapters before I got bored. And I have posted the only chapters of one of them. Although, I think I may have removed it.

I am easily bored and not much of my stuff gets edited unless you point out something specific because I can even be a little lazy. So if you do read anything of mine and something is wrong with it, please tell me so I can possibly fix it.

I don't write just one kind of genre although I think I tend to lean towards some things and shy away from others. Most of my work is personal in some way to me, even if it isn't always obvious.

I don't tend to write well if guidelines have been set because I like my creative freedom although inspiration is always welcome (yet usually in short supply).

My grammar/spelling/typing skills are not the greatest, eventhough I try my hardest. You have been forewarned. And I seem to like words like "though," (and ones containing it) "also," "still," "just," "yet," "and," "but," and "because." I also go comma crazy. If you notice either of these things (espescially overuse of those words), PLEASE let me know so I can kick the bad habit.

Suprisingly I did not stray off topic and didn't do too aweful with the mistakes in typing ect. If you have any questions for me, do not hesitate to ask.

You may notice a gold medal by your name. This is a free trial membership. This shows you what options you have if you were a paid member of Storywrite.com. After one week the membership expires.

I would also like to take this time to let you know about the new members group on the site. This group was set-up to show you how to post your work onto the site and to give you an understanding of how the reading/reviewing of your work actually happens on the site. If you have not already done so, I would suggest you take a peek into this group and see how this process works. http://storywrite.com/group/info/New+members+group

Along with a new members group we have a New Members Contest that is held every month. Come and check it out. The contest is open to any subject. http://storywrite.com/contest/2139

It is recommended that all new members to the site give serious consideration to joining a writing group as a method of assisting them in becoming an active member of the site. It is a place to make new friends and get helpful critiques. I have include below a few quick tips that have proven to be very helpful to new members in doing some of the basic functions necessary to get yourself set-up and running on the site.
