Hi, I'm Matt. I live in Galway, Ireland and I have recently started writing short stories again for the first time since school.
My influences encompass a wide range of things but among my favourites I'd name HP Lovecraft, Anne Rice, Scarlett Thomas, Chuck Palahniuk, Philip Pullman etc etc.
At the moment I'm working on a series of short stories tentatively titled Tales from New Oxford, some of which I'll post on here as they're finished. Any feedback or critisicm would be most welcome, and thanks for taking the time to read my stuff.

- Thanks for reading what part of Red Dust I have posted. I came by your page and thought I'd check your stuff out (obviously anyone cool enough to like my writing is worth checking out
). I quite enjoyed "About Charlie". I couldn't decide if I liked it better the way you presented it or if I would enjoy it more as a more traditional narrative.
Your stories about Stella, I wasn't so hot on. I'm a big fan of Lovecraft but I thought your take came across stilted. This is something I see a lot with Lovecraft inspired work. It is to be expected with the way he mixed his own flowery prose with that of scientists and cops.
Anyway, happy first SW anniversary - Hey there, wow you're the first Irish person other than me who I've found on here!!!!
