I'm a 36 year old word loving male who normally writes stories, but lately I've been expanding my ambitions into the the more versatile world of prose. Quality or rubbish, read by millions or by no one, it makes no difference: the creation of something new is all that matters. Authors include James Joyce and Malcolm Lowry, poets Walt Whitman and Emily Dickinson. Naturally I have little idea of what any of them are on about, but man oh man could they put the words together...
Mark Twain, on how he comes up with his stories: "I write."

Update 1 - Happy New Year everyone!
Update 2 - I upgraded to gold status. That was two months ago and I haven't visited the site since other than a quick passing over for messages. Real smart and great value for the money, I know. I also posted two stories, kind of in an incoherent mess; I'm thinking 5,000 word chunks in no conceivable order wasn't the best way to go about this. Again, real smart. But they say, c'est la vie, as they say. I'll try this again in a less overwhelming fashion with, perhaps, a few introductory notes for coherency.
