Hey there guys!
I'm Drac
I'm from Norway, and I really love writing, and that's why I joined up here, and in addition, I also enjoy reading other peoples work.
I just started a blog about that's about all my failed attempts at writing, the sources of my inspiration and my ideas of future stories. You can check it out at http://swdrac.blogspot.com/
I love getting comments, so go ahead
(I usually try to return the favor)
My stories range from the rather superficial horror/action to deeper love/death stories and even sci-fi and supergory horror. It's hard to sum up what I do, so I'd rather encourage you to read some of the shorter pieces, just to get a feel of the diversity
I am currently writing a Novel, which is 50 pages at the moment.
The novel is called Mephisto, and is about a man befriending a fallen angel. I started it a few years ago, and shortly after I joined this site and got a taste for writing shorter stories, it fell into a limbo that I'm still struggeling to get it out of.
Some of my favorite authors include Clive Barker, Abraham Stoker, Edgar A. Poe and Stephen King, to mention a few.
I am currently reading these books:
A collection of stories - Edgar A. Poe
Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas - Hunter S. Thompson
Roadside Picnic - Arkady and Boris Strugatsky
(And yes, I have a bad habit of starting more than one book at a time)
Books that I have lying around, and will be reading shortly:
The Hitchikers Guide To The Galaxy - Douglas Adams
Books Of Blood 3 - Clive Barker
Pet Cematary - Stephen King
First Blood - David Morrell
A collection of stories - H.P. Lovecraft
Some of my all-time favorite books (in random order):
Dracula - Abraham Stoker
Creepers - David Morrell
The Hellbound Heart - Clive Barker
The Picture Of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde
The Exorcist - William Peter Blatty
(And I can't decide what Stephen King novel to put here
)
Quotes I like :
"The furniture is... beautiful" ~ my cousin
"There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about." ~ Oscar Wilde
"I can smile about it now, but at the time it was terrible" ~ The Smiths
"For there are brighter sides to life, and I should know, because I've seen them, but not very often" ~ The Smiths
And, my favorite poem is, of course, The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe
But I also love the poem of his featured in the short story "The Fall of The House of Usher". Check it out
I have so many different stories in the working at all times that most of them get scrapped and end up as notes and small paragraphs in forgotten .txt documents. I would guess that not even half of the things I write get posted here, only the ones I finish do
So yeah, that's me. Come in, enjoy your stay, and leave a comment

I saw an angel cry today. / Her broken wings hung down by her side, and she was dying. / She was the most beautiful creature I had ever seen. / But I couldn't help her. I could only pray. / / Her wings were faded from white to grey, and they we

I often get writers block, and can sit for hours trying to write without producing a single usable word... So I decided to make a blog about my failed writings, my sources of inspiration and my upcoming projects =) 1 The blog is there so I can write something, even when I can't think of a good story (or, rather,

Lady RocknRoll on November 17You've got some pretty neat stories up here. I hope- if this be your goal- that your work makes it to the shelf.
Ever read any Dean Koontz? I would recommend most of his work, particularly the Odd Thomas series if you haven't read it.
Anyways, keep up with the good work. -
DogsLookUp on August 29Have you read "The Shining" by Stephen King? It's the greatest book of all time, in my humble opinion.
