I would love to be an author, though I will be the first to admit that I have not the foggiest what I would have to do to achieve it and right now it is only a dream.
Unlike my inspriational brother who's fantasy works will certainly become a published reality, I am of the more worldly format ..... sort of...
Horror is what gets me, as well as those elements that strike unworldly in this one. The works of Lovecraft, Poe, King and Rice is what strikes me, as well as the mix of supernatural or more but having an impact on our world now.
Over the last 9 years I have noted down a plot, expanded it, wrote elements, paragraphs from these elements, cartoon sketches to remember the images set in my mind, all to do with the one story, an epic common man vs the forces of past evils attempting to return. Still without title, but dubbed The Four Evils, who knows, it may breath life yet. Though set in today's world, mostly in the far north of Sweden, the city of Amsterdam and other places, not all in Europe, it begins in the 12th century low-countries, in peet bog/mine that is now the area of Amsterdam's Schipol Airport...
As a background, I am a partner/director of a protective management company in Morocco, North West Africa were I have permanently settled. I live in the inspirational ancient red-ochre city of Marrakech, next to the equally soul-catching Atlas Mountains.
Born in Sydney Australia, travelling on my Dutch Passport, a father of four and a consumate observer of cultures and human behavior - this is my description.
