Color SplashShow stories

I have many faces and go by many names, but here you can call me Splash - Color Splash...

In silence I stop to ponder, reflect upon my past in which I have come to loathe and run away from. Fear keeps me from returning to the dark memories which resurface every time I am at my lowest point, so I must hide.

Thoughts are meant to be private. My own. My sacred sanctuary. Though at times it can be frightening to think that someone else could be listening or knowing your emotions. I don't like being read faster than a cheap paperback.

At times I am nothing more than a shadow - a ghost. I cower in the small corners of my mind and don't bother to try and speak to others who are too ignorant to think outside of the box. At my best, I am charming and amusing - always keeping you laughing or thinking. Comedy is a way for me to fit in like alcohol is to a teen's first party. Captain Ice-Breaker? Yes, that would be me.

I have no beliefs except my own, which do not involve any serious religions or swaying sexualities (for those of you that need clarification, I'm straight, but I don't care if other people aren't), though if others of the same gender try something... I get slightly unnerved.

Privacy is something I've come to master, to use as an art form. Even my closest friends don't know all there is to know. I can't promise you that you will understand me, but you can try.

My life is not for the faint of heart, and yet it is not for the die hards I'm sure we all pretend to be. There are the soft moments, and then there are the true times of angst. But probably the most signifigant and memorable moments of my life are the ones of total confusion. I hate confusion. It's a frightening thing, to be confused.

My day is simple. I spend my mornings with the poets and philosophize with the brains. In the afternoon, I speak the language of old and share laughs with a sinister crowd. Then I jam with musicians like myself the clarinetist, playing a range of classical music to rock n' roll. As my day draws to a close, I am here at my laptop - the tea and cakes of my life - and do what I do best. What do I do? Well, I'll tell you.

I am Color Splash, and I am an author.

  • I saw the familiar fence not too far away. We were in a quiet part of town now, not a lot of cars passed. A neighborhood was off to the side, but I noticed no movement. Only a dog barking gave way that there was civilization.

Oh, why did you change your name? Mad Ink was such a cool name... not that color splash isn't...but you know ????
  • XMusicXIsXMyXLifex : heyyz on November 12
nice profile and thank god you don't listen to country!!!
  • Bloody-Ink : Random Friend-O-The-Month Message!! on November 9
Yay!! I'm on your page (: I feel very honored to be called your friend (: *does happy dance* You grace my profile as well (that is an EPIC WIN)

I do love helping others with writing (: It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. (but that's a story for another time...)

You gurly are amazing as well!! Besides that dilemma with you stealing my nickname and all.... just kidding

I haven't visited your page in a while, so I decided I better before I become overly consumed with NaNoWriMo. Which is bound to happen, no doubt. I'm using my novel "Dark Gifts" which, consequentially, you can read on SW! Whenever I actually post it, that is... but the prologue and the first part of the first chapter is up! The rest will follow soon, scouts honor.

I think that pretty much sums it up.... oh! and I would like to say that I love all the music you've put on here [I love pretty much some type of everything] and I have to agree with you on the "when I read a part about someone in pain I smile on the inside" I sooo do that too! I think that's why I love horror so much... and probably why I won the Halloween contest... lol.

I'm pretty messed up, I'll have to admit. (:

    Ink
