Hey, I'm Chibi, and welcome to my page! If you're wondering, 'chibi' is a Japanese term with two meanings, which basically mean the same thing. 'Chibi' is usually a derogatory term for 'short', but within the context of anime and manga it usually means a small, not-very-detailed drawing, kind of like the emoticons of manga. And as you can tell, I LOVE emoticons!
'Chibi' is a reference to my original name on the site, 'Chibi4Christ'. It's a reference to the verse (forgetting which one ) where Paul says that he is willing to become small so that Christ can become greater. Hence, the name: Small for Christ. I am a Christian and unashamed to declare and defend it. I've written a couple essays on my faith; for the most controversial one, click here: http://storywrite.com/story/220146
A lot of people have been wondering how old I am, and I want to know why THEY want to know. Do I just sound mature but my subject matter is juvenile?
Or am I being stalked?!
JK Anyway, I figure the question deserves a single answer, so here you guys go:
I'm as old as the dew that glosses the hills,
young as the rivers, brooks, and rills,
light as a feather on a summer's day,
dark as the shadows that cross my way.
No older than God,
but younger than many,
much richer in words
though I have not a penny
(it was swallowed up by a neon pink egret) -
in short, my age is forever a secret.

My other nickname (which has fallen out of use) is Aya, after a variety of characters by that name: Aya Umitake (who was Aya Uchida), and Aya Uchiha. Uchiha was an OC (original character) back from my Narutard fandom days, which were what got me interested (and sort-of good at) writing. Aya Umitake is a main character from my first full-length novel on Storywrite, Soul Force Academy. To read Soul Force Academy, click here: http://storywrite.com/story/109833
Soul Force Academy: A long-feared prophecy predicts the rise of the Dark Child, the one who will bring about the destruction of Atlantis, the Lost City. The Dark Lord, a former Soul Agent suspected of being the Dark Child, is now at war with Atlantis. To guard against this threat, the Soul Force Organization has resurrected a program called the Soul Force Academy, designed to discover and destroy the Dark Child before he or she ever joins Ryuu Arai, the Dark Lord.
A team of four children is put together, all of whom have potential for incredible power. But when the Soul Force Organization realizes one of them is the Dark Child of the Prophecy, alliances and friendships are tested - one of them is the Dark Child, one the Lightning Child, one a princess-heir, and one an avenger; and before the war is over, one of them must die...

My current work-in-progress is Gridlock, the story of Isirlyn Casey and her misadventures at Firestone Academy. Isirlyn, or Issy, as she prefers to be called, is the author of the school's infamous gossip blog, Gridlock. Gridlock reports on the lowdown and dirty among the student body at Firestone, and Issy delights to take her revenge on her tormentors through the blog.
The only problem is, when Issy herself gets involved with hot boys (some of whom have LUPINE complications) and the goings-on at Firestone, she becomes a player herself on Gridlock - the girl that everyone is jealous of. Now, Issy's got to deal with crazy fangirls, the star of her favorite TV show who is rocketing to fame, and protecting her identity from the new principal, who is eager to expel the author of Gridlock for sullying the school's name.
So what do you do if you're a teenage girl trapped in between the romance of your dreams, the romance of reality, and the demands on you because of your karma-inducing gossip blog? Read Issy's story by clicking on the link below.

The only novel on SW that is actually FINISHED is more of a novella, and not a bad read. The Takai Tattoo is the result of a combination of too much Nietsczhe and Vampire Knight - though you won't find any vampires in this story!
A short story set in a fantasy world, where a race named the Guild reigns and a dark-skinned people, the Maskilas, are the slave race.
A tattoo remover is visited by a young Maskil, anxious to destroy the Takai tattoo that breeds on his right forearm and shoulder. The Takai is the strongest soul-ink bond in the world, and its removal raises eddies of memories for Syenza Dresadin, the tormented young soul who bears it.
At the same time, prophecies are preparing to come to completion. The enigmatic prophet-philosopher Zarathustra predicted the arrival of a Liberator for an enslaved people. The Liberator will free the stronger races, the Maskilas, from their bondage to the weaker races, the Guild. Rebellion stirs throughout the land as the Maskilas grasp for freedom, believing that the Liberator has finally awoken. But who is this promised mysterious leader?
Meanwhile, in the dark halls and towers of the Guild, war threatens to erupt amongst the greater families. A young lord laid plans to protect his future woman by creating a pawn to guard her; a pawn strong enough to defeat any Guild warrior or lord who attacked, but who would never betray the woman herself. His plan appears to have worked, but in the process, he gave a Maskil the most powerful tools any slave has ever had. Are the Maskil's loyalties to the princess enough to keep him from rebellion?
All three threads come together in the ink of the Takai tattoo branded on Syenza Dresadin's shoulder. Full of psychology, Nietschzian ethics/philosophy, and the tension in the relationship between slave and mistress, friend and lover, The Takai Tattoo is (hopefully) a thought-provoking read. And finally, my chibi-novel (novel I'm pretending not to work on) is Van Helsing Inheritance. It's my first attempt at a vampire-esque novel, but I'm desperately steering clear of the Twilight hype.
The Van Helsing Inheritance features Israel "Jake" van Helsing, the last of the van Helsings to be an exorcist, or vampire hunter. But his life changes forever when he is bitten by a vampire, and has only nine months before he transforms into one himself. Condemned to become that which he hates, watch Jake's mind develop as he deals with shifting loyalties, brooding revenge, and the weight of the VAN HELSING INHERITANCE.

I am currently on a quest to complete Gridlock and get it published. If that is all, farewell, then. You may meet me again on the shelves of your local bookstore. If, alas, my odyssey destroys my hopes of becoming a professional, then treasure what I have left here well. Soul Force Academy and Raider I leave to you - for now. My journey to the publishing world may kill me, and if it does, then this will indeed be the last time we speak face to face.
And now, my good friends, farewell!
Ever yours,
~Chibi
