(I signed up as Ride-A-White-Swan as a whim (because I was listening to that song when I was registering), but I decided to revert to my usual nom de plume: Asiatic Fox)
I love birds. I am absolutely obsessed with them. My poetry and writing is always filled with references to birds and flight, as well as nature, Love (capitalized because it's such a wonderful, powerful thing), fantasy, etc.
I am 20, going on 5 and 50. Sometimes I'm really hyper and silly, and other times I'm more thoughtful and mature. It really depends on my mood.
My favourite colour is purple. I've read that it's a gender neutral colour, but, of course, most people don't see it that way and assume that I'm a girl (or gay). Well, I am neither. I've had people call me a girl before because of purple text and stuff, which doesn't really bother me all that much. Honestly, why should it? I certainly have a feminine side. Every guy does (although it's not always as obvious). Just the same as every girl has a bit of a masculine side. But, I digress.
I have a tendency to ramble. See above.
I listen to 60s and 70s music. I'm rather eclectic, listening to a mix of stuff, including psychedelic rock, progressive rock, blues rock, folk rock, hard rock, etc. I don't like country, rap/hip-hop, heavy metal, techno, and modern pop (I don't mind some 60s pop music).
And...that's all I can think of at the moment.

'Shall I forget you, blood of my own blood?
Through snow and shadow,
and the long trail's running
I swear I will not forget you!'
-from "Selak's Vow," Songs of the Lanna
[Epigraph for Ch. 7, Pg. 57, 'Wolf Rider']

'From life alone to life as one,
Think not your journey done
For though your ship be sturdy, no
Mercy has the sea,
Will you survive on the ocean of being,
Come ancient children hear what I say
This is my parting council for you on your way.
Sadly now your thoughts turn to the stars
Where we have gone you know you never can go.
Watcher of the skies watcher of all
This is your fate alone, this fate is your own.'
-from "Watcher of the Skies", Genesis
[Foxtrot, 1972]

'And you and I climb, crossing the shapes of the morning.
And you and I reach over the sun for the river.
And you and I climb, clearer, towards the movement.
And you and I called over valleys of endless seas.'
- 'IV. Apocalypse', from "And You and I", Yes
[Close to the Edge, 1972]

Marta on July 28I love birds and have many bird photos taken by me. Ibis, swans, herons, falcons, vultures and the like. Florida is lousy with these feathered creatures. When you write a bird story I will read it if you I/M me about it.
