Hey everybody. It's Alicia here, hailing from Michigan, the mitten state of unpredictable weather. Lucky for me, I'm a generally happy person and I mostly enjoy life. Generally, I would classify myself as a "people person," so if you send me a message, I'll definitely respond. Hmmm... This is always the tricky part for me, trying to allow someone to get a glimpse of my personality without actually meeting them. I know this sounds typical, but my friends tell me that I don't fit into any specific stereotype. Either that makes me some odd combination or utterly uninteresting... I'm hoping for the first. Whichever, it makes self-description that much harder. I like to paint and play drums in my spare time (I have very little of it) and I used to be really into pixel art, but I haven't touched it in months. Of course, I also write. Constantly.
I love to write and always have. Documents upon documents clog the memory of my already ancient and slow computer because I'm always documenting my thoughts. Poetry is something I love to read and write. I'm open to writing most types of fiction, and though I don't write fantasy, I do enjoy reading it. Strong, independent female characters lead most of my stories, yet I often can't resist throwing in an attractive male or two. And yes, I'm a hopeless romantic, but that doesn't mean my stories are nothing but romance. My biggest weakness would probably be the fact that I often neglect my stories soon after conception and I rarely finish one before another idea strikes me. I would love to be published one day, but I don't know if I'm capable of that. I hope you enjoy my work and please, please comment on what you think needs editing.

Cajun.Lullaby on February 26Nice to see a fellow Michigander. I grew up in Michigan (where if you don't like the weather, you give it five minutes and it will change) and moved to Alaska about 5 years ago.

Brian Balzer : HI Alicia, on February 25I love the way you replaced your name in Alice in Wonderland. I read it a couple of times before I figured out what was striking me as different. Too cool.
I would say that not fitting into any specific stereotype makes you a wonderfully unique individual. Especially since I have never fit into one either. I am a hopeless romantic as well. I just can't see anything wrong with that.
I'm also a poet. I have a little over a hundred in the archives at sharepoetry. I more in my folder that I haven't posted yet. Feel free to stop in and check them out.
I'll try to give you a read one of these days. I'm very behind on replies and returning comments at the moment though.
Take care,
Brian
