So it's a new year. I thought I'd share my resolutions, continuations, and goals.

Resolutions:
I am going to get committed to losing weight.
I am going to get a B in Human Anatomy for second semester.
I am going to get a B in Advanced World History.
I am going to do all my homework in my English classes both this year and next year.
I am going to be nicer to my brother and will not think to myself that I hate him because I really don't and it's just self-destructive for me to say that--even to myself.
Finish one of my babies (below).
Stop being a bitch!

Continuations:
I am going to stay a vegetarian (The first was my second anniversary!).
I am going to continue to walk my dogs everyday.
I am going to stay smoke free.
I am going to keep on writing.
I am going to hang out in my favorite teacher's room at least one block a day.

Goals:
Put all my poetry on this website.
Lose a dress size by March (I'm going to a wedding).

I love storywrite. I think it's a great way for me to get inspired and get critique. I hold contests constantly. Usually I'll hold one and when that one is done I hold another. I think they are fun. Plus they are excellent outlets for critique so I'm usually lurking around looking for a suitable contest for a new piece. I always speak my mind about a piece so don't get too offended.

I'll tell you what. I've got some very interesting pieces of work going on, if I do say so myself.

First there's Too New To Know, which I might not continue. It's a story about a sixteen year old from America who has moved to Germany and the romance that is inspired there. Very cutesy.

Then, there's When Frankfurt Cried, which is about a German man and his French boyfriend and their struggles to defy the odds. Less cutesy. It's more serious than anything.

And then my new baby. I Broke My Own Heart: Confessions of a Part-Time Drag Queen. This one is about a twenty six year old named James, more commonly known as Skip. He is a recovering alcoholic who works at a bar and defies all odds by changing his world when some bashers break into his and his boyfriend's apartment, and ki--well, I don't want to give it away. I have big plans for this. Big plans. It's funny but has serious undertones. Kind of like my hair... This one is my comic relief.

I write a lot about same-sex couples. I can identify more with them. However, I can write about heterosexual couples. But the sexes of my characters shouldn't bother anyone, should it?

I am an agnostic American student with a mind and spirit of someone beyond her years. If you have a question or just want to drop in an say hi, you know what to do!

But anyway, I'm sixteen, I love music, poetry, books, theatre, and language. But I'm pretty easy to get along with.

    Hello dear writer...

Having just read a comment you made to someone about your disregard for rhyming poetry, I felt I just HAD to stop by and say a word or two in its defence.

If it is loved passionately by the one who creates it, rhyming poetry can be a joy to read. I would like to recommend a poet named EarthToJim on Allpoetry ~ please do spare the time to visit his page ~ and you will see what great things can be dedicated to rhyme:

    Happy writing!

Hi, Back To Oz. I am a greeter and wish to welcome you to the StoryWrite website!

My username is whichcraft but most people just call me Jenn in my circle of friends. Our site is a community of people who all share a common desire to write and hopefully become a published author sometime in the future. It is also a place to sharpen your writing skills and display your creativity while being in a fun environment!

You will notice a gold medal by your name. This is a free trial membership. This shows you what options you have if you were a paid member of Storywrite.com. After approximately three days the gold membership expires, so take the opportunity to see all that our site offers to you.

We have a new members group on the site. This group was set-up to show you how to post your work onto the site and to give you an understanding of how the reading/reviewing of your work actually happens. If you have not already done so, I would suggest you take a peek into this group and see how this process works. http://storywrite.com/group/info/New+members+group

Along with a new members group, we have a New Members Contest that is held every month. Come and check it out. The contest is open to any new member. http://storywrite.com/contest/5074

It is recommended that all new members to the site give serious consideration to joining a writing group as a method of assisting them in becoming an active member of the site. It is a great place to make new friends and get helpful critiques.

I have included below a few quick tips that have proven to be very helpful to new members in doing some of the basic functions necessary to get yourself set-up and running on the site. One in particular is fun things to do around Storywrite: http://storywrite.com/column/show/161

To find all the emoticons : http://storywrite.com/column/show/53

    Chatterbox conduct: http://storywrite.com/column/show/57

    Trolls or Cyberbullies: http://storywrite.com/column/show/151
